Steps to register an indoor team

1. Read this entire page

2. Find out birth year of oldest player in your team

3. Use table below to determine which league you fall in

4. Use online registration system to register your team in the appropriate division (link at the bottom of this page)

5. Email scheduling requests to

6Pay full team fee on the date of your first game

7. Turn in roster/waiver form by the second game (downloadable form found at bottom of page)

8. Team coordinators will get an email when preliminary schedules are online


League information

Indoor Leagues - Youth (ages 6-19)

All Youth leagues will be comprised of single birth years (except U-16 & U-19) when possible. If an insufficient number of teams sign up in one age group, we will go to double birth years. Please see page below for information on game days and age groups. 


Indoor Leagues – Adults

  • Men’s Open - ages 17 and up(competitive and recreational groupings when possible)
  • Coed Open - ages 18 and up (competitive and recreational groupings when possible)

League Play Information

Each session will consist of 8 games. The Soccer Stop tries our best to put teams in the appropriate division. We reserve the right to move teams into divisions that we feel are best appropriate.

*Session 1 notes: We will schedule around your outdoor games, Games may be played on the Saturday following Thanksgiving this year unless requested off.


**Sesson 2 notes: Note early start date of session 2 again. Games WILL be played over holiday break except Christmas eve, Christmas, New year's eve, and New Years Day


*** NEW Special for Select/Premier clubs teams U13+ and large rosters (16+) can register two teams for the price of $1500 total.  A few extra players outside of the team can be added if needed, 80% of roster must be belong to outdoor team. Players can dual roster as well. Player cards may be checked.

Registration & Rule Information

  • For teams that paricipated in the cancelled session 3 during covid, we will be offering a $50 credit per game missed. This credit can be used for any session during the 2020/21 winter. The list of credits is in a file at the top of this page
  • Each soccer league consists of 8 games, practice hours are not included in the fee. Practice time must be paid for and booked separately.
  • Individuals registering will be placed on a house team, or the Soccer Stop will make every effort possible to place that player on an existing team.
  • Balance is due by first game, unpaid balances will result in forfeiture and may result in removal from league. $50 LATE FEE WILL BE APPLIED TO ANY TEAM NOT PAYING THEIR BALANCE IN FULL ON THE DATE OF THEIR FIRST GAME.
  • Individual checks from team members will not be accepted. Team coordinator is responsible for submitting entire payment.
  • Roster/Waiver form must be completed in its entirety by the 2nd game.
  • When completed, schedules will be available online on the website. Coordinators will be emailed when they are finished.
  • Players may play in older division but no more than 2 years up, except for U15 playing U18.
  • Cleats and turf shoes are not allowed. Only flat-soled shoes may be worn on the turf. Players not in compliance will receive a yellow card.
  • Face coverings are required to enter the facility and must be worn the entire time you are in the facility. Exception is to drink water.
  • Shinguards are required for all soccer players. Players not in compliance wll receive a yellow card.
  • Rescheduled game requests must be submitted at least one week prior to scheduled date. A fee of $25 will be charged to team requesting change. Game reschedules requested within one week will not be changed.
  • Coed teams must have 2 females as field players at all times. Goalkeepers do not count towards the 2 players.
  • High School age division (U-16 & U-19) must have minimum of 1 adult coach of at least 25 years of age present in player-box
  • High school divisions are restricted to high school players only. The only exception would be a U19 age player that is registered with their GVSA team of mostly high school players and playing with that GVSA team. The idea of the rule is to keep college players out of the high school leagues, with the exception of memebers of established teams.
  • Proof of age must be submitted upon request from Soccer Stop management.
  • If teams are wearing the same color, the team listed as "home" will be responsible for changing jerseys or wearing pennies.
  • Home team responsible for game ball. Soccer balls kicked or thrown outside of the field may be confiscated.
  • No gum chewing allowed in the facility.
  • Soccer Stop house teams (Designated by a SSS in their team name) are part of our developmental program and are managed outside of our league rules. They typically consist of a multitude of ages and we will put them in the best competitive fit for them. This may mean they have some players one age group older than the league they are playing in. 
  • WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY: We rarely will close the Soccer Stop for winter weather. In the event weather is severe enough for us to cancel activities, we will leave a message on our voicemail that can be heard by calling 616-393-7768.

We've listed several days for each league to not box ourself in, if your team is not available on one of the days listed, please make note of that when you register, weekday slots will be determined for each league based on what works best for all teams. Youth typically plays mostly Saturdays with 1 consistent weekday, adults are mostly Sundays with one consistent weekday. 


We reserve the right to adjust these age groups based on competitive fit. 


Please note the cutoff date change on the age group divisions.  this change puts our leagues in line iwth the change made by the USSF at the start of team formation fo the 2017/18 competitive seasoins.  Essentially, age groups are composed of single birth years.  You must register your team based on the oldest player.

Game Change Procedure

When schedules are completed an email will be sent to the team coordinator. The schedule will remain tentative for 1 week upon release. If you see a game that conflicts with your scheduling requests, your team can request a reschedule up until 1 week after schedule release at no charge.

After the 1 week grace period, games WILL NOT be changed without a 2 week notice and the requesting team will be charged $35.
