SOCCER STARS PROGRAM

Ages 3 - 6

The Soccer Stop Sportplex Soccer Stars program is an all  encompassing program where each class is specifically designed to enhance the social, emotional and physical development occurring at each age. We teach skills in a language children can understand, present skills in a way that captures their attention and set standards that are high, yet achievable, but more importantly we make learning fun. Although we focus on soccer, this is a program that stresses team work, listening skills, following directions, as well as hand/foot/eye coordination, motor skills, and basic soccer skills. The emphasis is on FUN and group participation. Registration includes 6 classes, a T-shirt and small treat at the end of each class. Classes will last 35-45 minutes depending on what we can get out of the kids. The final time of the hour is spent with familiy being invited on to the field to kick the ball around with their little ones.

Fee: $99 per player - includes program t-shirt

Program Descriptions & Registration

THE STARS – 3 and 4 yr. old class (6 sessions)

This class concentrates on foot –eye coordination, balance, dribbling, kicking, and physical movement. We don’t play competitive games but stress the aspect of having fun through a variety of activities incorporating the soccer ball. All activities will focus on the mental and physical development of the child, as well as team work and cooperation. 

The Stars program has 2 different class sessions to choose from:

THE SUPER STARS – 5 and 6 yr. old class (6 sessions)
In this class, focus is on working and developing running with control, balance, dribbling, kicking, eye/foot coordination, as well as stressing team work and cooperation. Fundamental soccer skills will be taught through a variety of exercises entailing multiple ball touches. We try to instill in players a love for the game through fun activities and small sided games.
 

The Super Stars program has 2 different class sessions to choose from:

(Saturday Class starts 11/07, Tuesday classes start 11/03)

Small Sided Training Academy - ages 6* - 8 (6 sessions)

Each hour session will consist of 25 minutes of skill training followed by 25 minutes of small sided games - 6 classes per session

Individual fee: $99

Small-sided soccer is played by and for children, and is endorsed by the U.S. Soccer Federation. Our program will allow kids to get numerous more touches on the ball compared to an 8v8 game. More ball contact, less bunching, more learning, more fun.

This program has a track record of developing players that are typically ahead of their peers when it comes time to tryout for club-level teams.

We are no longer accepting team registrations (only individuals accepted) for this program, however, you can still request to play with up to 5 friends but each player must fill out a registration form.

*Most 5 year olds are NOT ready for this program. We allow 5 year olds if they have already completed one of our future stars program classes and our staff coach gives the "OK" that they are ready.

These sessions take place on Saturdays between 11:30a - 3:30p. Teams will be formed and a schedule will be published

Goalkeeper Training (ages 8+)

This program is designed for goalies of all levels. Sessions will be designed to strengthen footwork, shot stopping, highballs and diving. 

The program is under the Direction of Sergio Reyes. Sergio holds his 'E' License from USSF and is the goalkeeper coach for United Soccer Athletes. He has over a decade of experience coaching keepers of all levels. He is also the head coach for their U15 girls Red team.

Classes will take place on Wednesdays. Each session consists of 6 classes

Ages 8 - 12: 7 - 8  pm
Ages 12+: 8 - 9 pm
Fee - $85 per player
